Rite Aid ~ Free CoverGirl Cosmetics!

Rite Aid has CoverGirl makeup on sale buy 1 get 1 free this week. Use the B1G1 Free coupon from the 2/7 P&G (its blue) and both are free! The store is paying for one with the sale, and the manufacturer is paying for the other with the coupon! Both are free (except for sales tax) to the customer! Hurry, the sale ends on Saturday!

Reader tip - buy two items that are priced the same.  Melissa picked out two, one cost $6.05 and the other $6.99.  The cash register took off $6.05 and the cashier entered the coupon value at $6.05 so she had to pay $.94 - still a great deal!   Thanks Melissa! 

Giant Eagle This Week ~ 03/11/10 - 03/17/10

Here are the coupon match-ups for this week at Giant Eagle.  Most of the coupons listed here are from the newspapers available in our local area (Cleveland Plain Dealer, Canton Repository, Akron Beacon Journal and the Massillon Independent.  Also included are the RedPlum inserts that are currently mailed to Clevelanders.  We use abbreviations for these inserts:  SS = SmartSource; RP = RedPlum; P&G = Procter & Gamble.  We also include links to "printable coupons" that you can typically print 2 from each computer.  We welcome feedback & comments so if you find another deal that isn't listed here, please email us and let us know.  We're happy to give credit to the first person who emails us about a particular deal.

Giant Eagle doubles coupons with a face value up to $.99.  That means if you have a $.75/1 coupon, it will double to $1.50/1.  And, if you have multiples of the same coupon, you can use them to buy more of the same product in the same visit.  For example, if you want to buy 3 packs of yogurt at $2.00/each and you have three $.75/1 identical yogurt coupons, you can use all 3 of them and they will each double to $1.50/1.  You will end up paying $.50/each or $1.50 for all three!  Woo Hoo!   It pays to have several copies of each coupon to maximize your savings.  If you buy extra newspapers at Giant Eagle, you'll also receive FuelPerks credit on the amount you spend.  Instead of buying extras, you can ask family and friends for their's and not have to buy more.  But, it's always an option when there's a great deal.
