Each week we match up store sales with coupons found in our local newspapers including the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Canton Repository, Akron Beacon Journal and the Massillon Independent, printable coupons found online at reputable sites like Coupons.com, Redplum.com and Smartsource.com that you may print at home. We also include an in-home mailer from RedPlum that is currently targeted to Cleveland residents as well as coupons found in the All You magazine.
Abbreviations & Terms:
- SS = SmartSource
- RP = RedPlum
- P&G = Procter & Gamble
- AY = All You magazine
- PA = Parade magazine
Catalina or OYNO (On Your Next Order) ~ These are cents or dollar-off coupons that print from a machine by the register after you've made qualifying purchases. Catalinas may be used to purchase almost anything else in the store. (There are a few exclusions such as cigarettes, gift cards, alcohol, phone cards, stamps, etc.)
Giant Eagle doubles coupons with a face value up to $.99. That means if you have a $.75/1 coupon, it will double to $1.50/1.
If you have multiples of the same coupon, you can use them to buy more of the same product in the same visit. For example, if you want to buy 3 packs of yogurt at $2.00/each and you have three $.75/1 identical yogurt coupons, you can use all 3 of them and they will each double to $1.50/1. You will end up paying $.50/each or $1.50 for all three! Woo Hoo!
It pays to have several copies of each coupon to maximize your savings. If you buy extra newspapers at Giant Eagle, you'll also receive FuelPerks credit on the amount you spend. If you don't want to buy extras, you can ask family and friends for their extras. But, it's always an option when there's a great deal.
